Rock Steady Farm & Flowers

We are a women and queer owned cooperative farm, rooted in social justice, growing speciality cut flowers and sustainable vegetables in Millerton, NY.

We believe in utilizing holistic and sustainable farming practices that allow us to grow high quality vegetables, flowers and herbs for our community. As a for-profit farm business, and worker-owned cooperative, we strive to provide living wages for ourselves and our employees. We celebrate nourishing a community diverse in age, ethnicity, sexuality, economic background and cultural heritage in our region.

We sell veggies and flowers through our CSA, Community Supported Agriculture, as well as wholesale accounts in both the Hudson Valley, Berkshires, and New York City. Our expanding flower farm connects directly with floral designers as well as with brides or grooms who seek a more affordable DIY option for their wedding. It is our goal to provide an alternative to the current floral industry, as well as grow the movement of local sustainably grown flowers.

Quotes from 2017 Members:

"Rock Steady Farm has the best CSA we've ever participated in. No question."

"Going to Rocksteady to pick up one's share on an early Saturday morning is a very special experience. The site is just beautiful, people greet you with warm smiles -- in fact, everyone there, young and old, seems to be having a terrific time; and what you take home fills your week with wonderful meals. "

"Joining your CSA allowed our family to be exposed to fresh grown vegetables and really opened the doors for my littles and my husband (who is a self-professed veggie disliker). It allowed me to try out new recipes and styles of cooking! We loved it!"

"Rock Steady Farm continues to be the best CSA we have belonged to. Consistently great produce, friendly faces, and lots of fun!"

"The quality, beauty, and variety of the produce are outstanding and some of the reasons we members love the CSA. The friendly and flexible staff make pick up a pleasure. The opportunity for some choice among the vegetables available enables members to focus on getting what they like to eat. And u-pick of herbs and vegetables is good for the soul! Belonging to the CSA will change how you eat for the better. "
