Peace and Carrots Farm is turning 5 years old in 2017 and we’re celebrating all year long with 75 CSA shares in two sizes, two Farmers’ Markets, a Self-Serve Farmstand, two Drop Off locations and a new On-Farm Brewery opening in early summer called Long Lot Farm Brewery!
Peace and Carrots grows well over 100 varieties of seasonal veggies from arugula to zucchini and everything in between. Though not certified organic, we grow using organic methods and encourage folks with questions to tour the farm and see what we do here! CSA members can expect a seasonal abundance either grocery store-style at the farm or in paper bags at our delivery points in West Point or Newburgh.
CSA members are also a part of our weekly newsletter, letting everyone know in advance what will be in this weeks’ share, updates on what will be harvested soon, and recipes to help with those less-familiar veggies!
On-farm pickup CSA members are also welcome to participate in our bonus You-Pick-It options that include a weekly bouquet, fresh herbs and small crops like cherry tomatoes or green beans, at no extra cost!
All of our CSA members as well as the surrounding community are welcome to join us at the farm for our annual events which always include a Potluck, Art and Music Show, Outdoor Movie Night and Harvest Festival. As an additional perk, CSA members also can sign up for any classes we offer for free. In the past, these have included Farm Photography and Canning.
