Abode Farm CSA

Abode Farm is a cooperatively run horse-powered organic farm in New Lebanon, NY. We produce vegetables, herbs, and flowers for our summer and winter CSA, local businesses, wholesale, schools, community centers and farmers markets. We strive to bring you nourishing, high quality, and delicious vegetables all season long. To accomplish this goal we go to great lengths to preserve and build the health of our soils and ecology. This soil-based system focuses on diversity, cover cropping, composts, minerals amendments, and careful crop rotation. We do not use any synthetic fertilizers, herbicides, or pesticides on our farm. We apply biodynamic compost preparations and use the biodynamic calendar to balance life processes and stimulate soil fertility. We rely on our Belgian draft horses as our primary source of power on our farm, which helps us stay light on the land, and sensitive to the biological rhythms we work with.

*A note on our pricing: Abode Farm is committed to food accessibility, meaning that everyone regardless of income has the right to nutritious food. We aim for balance in keeping food affordable, striving to provide living wages for our farmers, and taking good care of the land. This is why we are offering sliding scale shares and payment plans. A sliding scale share means that members who opt to pay on the higher end are offsetting the cost for those who can only afford to pay on the lower end. Thanks for helping us to reach our goals!
