Peace and Carrots Farm
Peace and Carrots, a Lady Farmer owned 5th generation farm in Chester, is Cultivating Community for its 7th Season through more CSA shares and Community Events than ever! The shares come in two sizes, which can be picked up at the farm on Mondays or delivered to West Point on Wednesdays. We offer Free Choice Shares each week, based on a declining point system. Now our members don't have to worry about missing a week or being forced to take veggies that aren't your favorite!
If CSA isn't quite your cup of tea, we also have a farmstand open Sunday afternoons, and attend The TASH (Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers' Market on Saturdays). If vegetables all together aren't for you, our neighbors Long Lot Farm Brewery often brew with ingredients grown at Peace and Carrots andcan fulfill your local, farm grown beer needs!
Peace and Carrots grows well over 100 varieties of seasonal veggies from arugula to zucchini and everything in between. We are Certified Naturally Grown and encourage people to schedule tours of the farm to see how we grow! CSA members can expect a seasonal abundance either grocery store-style at the farm or in boxes to their doors or offices at West Point.
CSA members are also a part of our weekly newsletter, letting everyone know in advance what will be in this weeks' share, updates on what will be harvested soon, and recipes to help with those less-familiar crops.
On-farm pickup CSA members are also welcome to participate in our bonus You-Pick-It options that include a weekly bouquet, fresh herbs and small crops like cherry tomatoes or green beans, at no extra cost!
All of our CSA members, as well as the surrounding community, are welcome to join us at the farm for our annual events which always include a Potluck, Art and Music Show, Outdoor Movie Night. and Harvest Festival. As an additional perk, CSA members get free parking to all Long Lot Farm Brewery events all year long!
