Spruce Run & Stony Ridge Farm

Spruce Run & Stony Ridge Farm is a small fruit and vegetable farm that we have been building from scratch over the past four years. It is located in Ulster Park, which is between New Paltz and Kingston, in Ulster County, on the west side of the Hudson River. Our farm is a compact, highly diversified, sustainable farm that is NOFA-NY Organic Certified. How would we describe our fruits and vegetables? Local. Honest. Healthy. Delicious. Farm-fresh. Just-picked. Traditionally grown. Gourmet. Our fruits include strawberries, ribes (currants and gooseberries), and brambles (raspberries and blackberries). Among them, our favorites are black raspberries and pink/champagne currants. Our veggies include about 100 varieties of: lettuces, squash, brassicas, carrots, celery, beets/chard, green beans, onions/shallots/leeks, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants, and herbs. Among the many veggies, our favorites include basil, cherry tomatoes, cucumbers, collards, kale, Swiss chard, leeks, Listada de Gandia eggplant, green beans, storage onions, winter squash (delicata, acorn squash, butternut squash, and baby blue Hubbards), and a number of specialty peppers (Shishitos, Pepperoncini, Petit Marseillais, Padrons, and Jimmy Nardello peppers). Spruce Run & Stony Ridge Farm focuses on local, honest, organic food that is nourishing to the body and the mind. We strive to be a small but delicious part of transforming the local food system so that we can all be healthy and happy with the food we eat.  Learn more at www.SR-SRfarm.com.
